Top-class accommodation, top-class address, fine views over London, access to one of London's most exclusive private garden squares - with private tennis court…… we could go on and on, suffice it to say that private rental accommodation doesn't get much better than this.

This duplex apartment is on the 4th and 5th floor (there is a lift) of an imposing building on a Cadogan Square, with fine views east to The Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament) and the London Eye, and views west over the garden square. It is beautifully decorated and furnished in modern traditionally English style.

The flat sleeps a maximum of 4, 2 in a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and 1/2 on put-me-up beds in the dining room converted to a bedroom. There is a second bathroom with loo and shower.

On leaving the lift a short flight of stairs leads to the large (17ft9 x 9ft10, 5.4m x 3m) hall off which lead all the rooms. The west facing - afternoon and evening sun - drawing room (24ft x 13ft6, 7.3m x 4.2m) has 3 comfortable two seater sofas, a chaise longue, other chairs, a desk, glass coffee table, side tables with lamps and a TV with digital channels + DVD player. There's a working gas coal-effect fireplace - very cosy in winter.

Across the hall, the dining room (13ft9 x 10ft10, 4.2m x 3.3m) has a table and six chairs. There's also a small study area with high-speed broadband internet connection. This room doubles as a bedroom! One (two with the owners' specific permission - please ask when booking) additional people can be accommodated on put-me-up beds. When used thus the dining table can be moved to and used in the hall.

The modern kitchen (11ft10 x 9ft10, 3.6m x 3m) has all the expected appliances including a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, and a small breakfast bar for 2.

Lastly there's a cloakroom with loo and a good shower for those accommodated on this floor.

Stairs lead up to the double bedroom (14ft9 x 12ft4, 4.5m x 3.75m) which has a 5ft bed and good built-in storage cupboards. The en-suite bathroom has bath, separate shower, basin, loo and bidet.

Door lead out from upstairs landing and the bedroom to a pleasant west facing balcony which has a table and chairs in the summer. As a resident - albeit temporary - you have access to the private Cadonan garden square and its tennis court. There are rackets in the flat so there's no need to bring your own!

The bedroom balcony

It's no accident that this part of town, one of the most sought after places to live, boasts some of the best shops and restaurants in London.

The Hyde Park, Sheraton Tower and Berkley hotels, all with renowned dining rooms, are all within a 10 minute walk. Even closer on Cadogan Place, try the Rib Room and Oyster Bar at the Carlton Tower Hotel which mixes cool sophistication with English tradition.

In the other direction is the Kings Road with its numerous trendy bars and bistros. A 10 minute walk will take you to Royal Hospital Road and Gordon Ramsay's restaurant (he's one of our most celebrated chefs) with what many say is the best food in London - but you MUST book ahead.

This is a No Smoking property.
