Typical Chelsea town house in the heart of South Kensington - sleeps 3.  Map

Price per night £195 £210

Here is a typical Chelsea town house. It was built after the war in place of the bomb damaged original, but nonetheless it still has an old style feel about it, perhaps due to the decoration and furnishings which have a distinct classic Englishness about them. It's just off The Old Brompton Road, two minutes walk from South Kensington tube station (District, Circle and Piccadilly lines - tube direct from Heathrow) and very convenient for shops, restaurants, pubs, cafés and all the amenities that make for a good life.

The accommodation is arranged over 3 floors and sleeps 3 in two bedrooms, a double and a single. There are two bathrooms.

The spacious (21ft6 x 11ft, 6.5m x 3.4m) drawing room has a comfortable 2 seater sofa, a number of arm chairs, TV and video, and high-speed broadband internet access. The working coal effect gas fire adds a cosy feel.

The large (21ft6 x 10ft6, 6.6m x 3.2m) combined kitchen and dining area has a dining table that will seat 6. The kitchen has all the expected appliances including a microwave and dishwasher. This gives out to a pleasant south facing patio garden with a table, seating and BBQ. There is also a downstairs loo/cloakroom.

On the first floor is the master bedroom with double bed (6ft) and bathroom (bath + shower, basin and loo). The single bedroom with second bathroom (shower, basin and loo) is on the top floor.

The area abounds with good restaurants. Try seafood salad or carpaccio at Il Falconiere (Italian) in The Old Brompton Road or chicken Jalfrezi at Khans (Indian) in nearby Harrington Road. Slightly further away (5 minutes walk) is Langan's Coq d'Or, owned by Michael Caine and close by Langan's is the Troubadour, a wonderful old bohemian café/bar and a hang out of Bob Dylan and Jimmy Hendrix in the 60s: drop in and catch some live jazz or poetry reading!

This is a No Smoking property.
