This third/fourth floor duplex apartment (with lift to third floor) is situated in the heart of Chelsea, just off the Fulham Road with its many good restaurants cafés and pubs. The Brompton Road and The King's Road are both within a 5 minute walk. Your nearest tube station is South Kensington ( Piccadilly, District and Circle lines) - about a 10 minute walk.

The property sleeps four people in two double bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms. There is also an additional guests' loo. Wireless internet access is available throughout.

This stunning property combines a contemporary style with classic touches, creating a light and airy space which is both eclectic and homely. The accommodation is arranged over two floors with the bedrooms and bathrooms on the third floor and the living area and kitchen on the fourth. A Stannah Stairlift on the stairs linking the floors provides help for guests who might need assistance - so the only steps needed to be negotiated are the 5 steps from the street to the building entrance.

The living/kitchen area is a lovely bright and airy open-plan (19ft4 x 18ft7, 5.9m x 5.6m) with bleached wooden floors. There is a wonderful collection of china, artfully displayed on glass shelves and the room has an eclectic mix of ethnic rugs, paintings, and comfortable furniture, all against a backdrop of fresh pale blue walls.

There is a 3-seater sofa, four chairs, (one rocking chair) handsome set of drawers, large dining table with eight chairs and a large mirror which reflects the light and gives the room a sense of space. For entertainment there is an iPod dock, CD player, flat-screen TV with digital channels and a DVD player.

The room has plenty of light from the French windows that open out onto a balcony. This sunny outdoor space boasts a pretty table and two chairs as well as lovely views across the neighbouring rooftops and trees. An iron stairwell leads from the balcony onto the roof giving breathtaking views across the London skyline - this is also the perfect place to sunbathe as it's the ultimate suntrap!

Next to the dining area there is an ergonomic kitchen which is both modern and functional. There is an electric oven with an induction hob that switches itself off when not in use, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and smooth marble work surfaces. There is also a guests loo located off the living area.

The two bedrooms are downstairs. The first is a double bedroom (15ft3 x 10ft7, 4.6m x 3.2m) with a queen-size (6ft6 x 5ft) bed. Traditional in style with beautiful patterned designer wallpaper in pale coral tones and a plush cream carpet, this room boasts fitted wardrobes, classic art on the walls, two bedside tables, chair and TV. Its large en-suite bathroom, which is tiled throughout, has a contemporary design - there is a basin, Jacuzzi bath with shower and loo.

The second bedroom (15ft x 14ft7, 4.4m x 4.5m) also boasts an en-suite tiled bathroom with basin, bath with shower, and loo. This room has art adorning the walls, queen-size bed (6ft6 x 5ft), designer wallpaper, wooden drawers and dressing table and chair. It has a comfortable feel and a traditional English style.

The local area has lots to offer in terms of shopping and entertainment. The King's Road is a 5 minute walk away and provides a wealth of shops, restaurants and bars. The River Thames is a 10 minutes walk and the starting point for a walk in beautiful Battersea Park.

Fulham Broadway is approx 10-15 minutes from the house - here guests will find everything that they need, including several supermarkets, a cinema, restaurants, bars, traditional pubs, bookshops and delis. South Kensington is 10 minutes in the opposite direction - it is a cultural hotspot in London and with three renowned museums. You can visit the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum - all free of charge!
