Price per night - £320, minimum stay 7 nights

Belgravia, situated between Knightsbridge and Buckingham Palace with Hyde Park to the north, is one of the most prestigious parts of London. It's a wonderful mixture of fine squares with grand houses and charming little streets with mews cottages and hidden pubs. Kinnerton Street is a good example: a stone's throw from Wilton Place and the famous Berkley Hotel and grand Belgrave Square, it still retains its quaint "old London" feel, with two local pubs and small specialist shops scattered among the residential houses. Knightsbridge tube station (Piccadilly line - trains direct from Heathrow) is 3 minutes away and it's a 5 minute stroll to Harrods or Hyde Park.

The Living Room

The house comfortably sleeps 4 in one double and one double/twin.

The accommodation is arranged over 4 floors. The inside has recently been completely rebuilt making it light, airy and modern, while still retaining its "cottagey" feeling.

Dining Area

French oak wooden floors throughout add to the charm. The front door opens into the main living area, a spacious (20ft6 x 15ft, 6.25m x 4.5m) room with 2 leather sofas, Persian rug and large coffee table; a coal effect gas fire adds a cosy touch. There's also a large flat screen TV (30 digital channels including 24 hour news) and DVD player, stereo system with a large collection of CDs - mainly classical music and opera, and shelves with many books, and high speed broadband internet access. The back of the room overlooks the small courtyard garden with shrubs and greenery which is attractively lit at night.

Kitchen

Down stairs is the kitchen with a traditional Rayburn cooker as well as ordinary gas hobs and all the expected appliances including dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, and a small TV. There's also a breakfast bar and seating for 4. On the half landing is a compact dining area with table that will comfortably seat 8 and access to the courtyard garden.

Upstairs from the living area is the main bedroom with a 5ft6 double bed on an attractive iron bedstead. This is a lovely light room, again overlooking the courtyard garden.

Master Bedroom

Unusually, and working surprisingly well, in the same room is an old style slipper bath and modern hand basin, while in a separate enclosed space there's a wet-room with shower and loo.

Master Bedroom + Bathroom

Upstairs again, is a bedroom with two beds which can either be 2 single beds or zipped together to make a double (please advise your requirement when booking) and a small bathroom - also a wet-room with shower, basin and loo.

The Nags Head

It's no accident that Knightsbridge/Belgravia is one of the most fashionable places to live as here are some of the best shops and restaurants in London. Apart from Harrods, for the fashion conscious there's Harvey Nichols, Princess Diana's favourite department store.

The Hyde Park, Sheraton Tower and Berkley hotels all have renowned restaurants and are all within a 5 minute walk. 10 minutes walk is Beauchamp (pronounced Beecham) Place with another fine collection of fashion shops and restaurants. Alternatively, a few doors away is your local pub, The Nags Head, and 5 minutes away in Wilton Row is The Grenadier - this inn was originally the Duke of Wellington's officers mess.

This is a No Smoking property.
