This is the London home of a former army officer / banker and his wife. Both come from "old" families as the large oil portraits, photographs and historical memorabilia in the hallway attest. They have another home in France so their London "pad" is often available for your use.
The spacious flat is on the 4th floor (there is a lift) of a smart and well maintained mansion block. The porter (concierge) service enhances the excellent block security. As a resident, albeit temporary, you will have access to the private and secluded garden square. You're just minutes walk from the wide open spaces of Holland Park. Your nearest tube station, within 10 minutes walk, is Kensington High Street (District and Circle lines).
The flat sleeps 4 people in one double and one twin/double bedroom. There are 2 bathrooms.
The front door opens onto a hallway furnished with side tables and occasional chairs and hung with family portraits. The drawing room (18ft9 x 9ft6, 5.7m x 2.9m) is traditionally furnished with 2 comfortable 2 seater sofas and 4 armchairs. In one corner French windows open onto a small flower balcony. The family's military connection is reflected by a large regimental (Royal Artillery) drum which acts as display table. There's a television on the fireplace fender.
