This elegant and beautiful family home is 2 minutes walk from Battersea Park, 3 minutes from one of London's most beautiful bridges - Albert Bridge, and 8 minutes to The Kings Road. The area is popular with the professional classes and several well known personalities - including the singer Elaine Page, star of many Lloyd Webber musicals, live close by.
Your nearest tube station is Sloane Square (District and Circle lines), about a 15 minute walk - but if you're not feeling energetic you can catch one of the many buses going there along The Kings Road.

The accommodation, which was totally refurbished in 2004, is arranged over 4 floors and sleeps 4 people in two double bedrooms each with their own bathroom. It is presented throughout in sophisticated classic English style with antique furniture and original paintings on the walls.
There's a broadband wifi internet connection - bring your own laptop.

The front door opens onto a small entrance area off which is a tiny guest loo (the smallest loo in the world?). This leads immediately into the two living areas.
On the left is "the TV room" (12ft3 x 10ft6, 3.7m x 3.2m) with 2/3 seater sofa, armchair and 40in wide screen TV (Sky and digital channels) discreetly hidden in a cupboard.
On the right is a more formal drawing room (14ft x 12ft3, 4.3m x 3.7m) - two arm chairs and a French bed acting as an elegant 2 seater sofa.
|
|
Stairs lead down to the lower ground floor. Here you will find the dining room (6m x 3.3m) - dining table seating 8, Welsh dresser and working fire place. French windows lead out to a small outdoor space giving the room lots of natural light.

|
The nearby kitchen area (19ft9 x 10ft10, 3.8m x 3.2m) is a chef's dream - black granite worktop, Aga cooker (iconically English!), additional gas hob and eclectic oven, dishwasher etc. etc. (but no microwave).

The master bedroom (15ft x 13ft, 4.6m x 4m) with a 6ft wide bed and its own bathroom cum dressing room ( bath + hand shower, separate full shower, basin bidet and loo) is on the first floor, as is the utility room with washing machine and separate dryer.
|
|
On the second floor is the second bedroom (12ft6 x 11ft6, 3.8m x 3.5m) with a 5ft double bed and its own bathroom - shower, basin and loo.
A door in the kitchen opens to outside stairs which ascend to a small walled outdoor patio area with table and chairs - this gets the afternoon sun and is a peasant place to enjoy a glass of wine after a hard day seeing the sights.

In addition to the numerous bars and restaurants to be found over the bridge on The Kings Road you have two excellent local restaurants within a minute's walk. One of these, The Butcher and Grill, interestingly combines an up-market butchers shop, bar and restaurant and is certainly worth a visit.
Battersea Park, virtually on your doorstep, is considered by many to be the most interesting of all the London parks with a wide variety of trees and plants and prolific wildlife on and around its lake.
This is a No Smoking property.
