Mayfair in London's West End is one of the capital's most exclusive districts. Named after the fortnight long May Fair that took place there in the 17th century and set roughly between Oxford Street, Regent Street, Piccadilly and Park Lane, it is at the very heart of London and includes some of the city's most important retail shopping activity.

It's also the most expensive property on the British Monopoly board game! Renting this property you are primarily paying for the location. Your nearest tube is Green Park (Piccadilly, Victoria and Jubilee lines).

This small ground floor apartment, right on Piccadilly, is at the rear of the building looking out onto a light-well area full of plants, and no noise from the busy thoroughfare reaches it. It sleeps 2 people in one double bedroom. The flat has wi-fi broadband internet access.

The street entrance is though an imposing doorway with wrought iron gates leading to the hallway of the building which has an attractive planted area.


You reach the flat entrance door which opens onto a hallway/corridor off which are the rooms.

The living room (12ft10 x 9ft10, 3.9m x 3m) is furnished with a leather Chesterfield sofa and matching armchair, central coffee table, side table with TV/DVD player and radio/stereo (bring your own CDs) and a side table that can be opened out to serve as an occasional dining table. There's a ceiling fan in case of warm weather

The small practical kitchen has all the expected appliances including a microwave and washer/dryer (but no dishwasher).

The bedroom (13ft x 10ft, 4m x 3.05m) has a 4ft6 wide bed and also looks out to the light-well. It too has a ceiling fan.

The bathroom has a bath + over shower, basin and loo.

The Street Entrance

The flat is a minute's walk from Shepherds Market, named after Edward Shepherd, who built it in the mid-18th century. Today it's a buzzy pedestrianised enclave of small shops, pubs, restaurants and out-door cafés.
