Here is a rare opportunity to stay in the heart of Knightsbridge in a quaint mews cottage, modernised but still in its original configuration. Because of this the rooms are small and stairways quite narrow and steep so this accommodation is not recommended for the infirm or those uncomfortable in narrow spaces. Nearest tube, 3 minutes walk, is Knightsbridge (Piccadilly line, tube direct from Heathrow).

The house has 2 double bedrooms and one bathroom. It's ideal for a 2 people - 3 or 4 at a squeeze.

The accommodation is on the first and second floors (US 2rd and 3rd floors), the ground floor space still being used for housing transport – now cars, it used to be coaches. The whole house is decorated and furnished in Victorian / art deco style with antique furniture and original art on the walls.

On the first floor is the drawing room, small but comfortably furnished. There are two sofas, a 2 seater and a 3 seater, an arm chair, a chest acting as a coffee table, side tables with lights and ornaments and a TV. The fire place has a working coal effect gas fire.

The Dining Room The Kichen

Next door is an attractive separate dining room with seating for 6. The cosy kitchen has a table with seating for 4 and all the expected appliances except a dish washer. Both dining room and kitchen have working coal effect gas fires. The unusual art deco style bathroom is also on this floor.

Upstairs are two double bedrooms (4ft6 beds). They are reasonable sized rooms and each has storage space and a sitting / working area with a desk. There's another a loo with good sized wash basin.

The price includes the services of a housekeeper who comes 3 times a week to clean and tidy. There's no washing machine in the house, however there is a launderette close by on the Brompton Road.

It's no accident that Knightsbridge, one of the most fashionable places to live, boasts some of the best shops and restaurants in London. Apart from Harrods, for the fashion conscious there's Harvey Nichols, Princess Diana's favourite department store. Less than 2 minutes walk away is Beauchamp (pronounced Beecham) Place with its is fine collection of fashion shops and at least 6 restaurants. The Hyde Park, Sheraton Tower and Berkley hotels, all with renowned restaurants, are all within a 10 minute walk on Knightsbridge walking towards Hyde Park Corner.

This is a No Smoking property.
